An additional option will be available for our customers starting in November 2008: We will begin offering our customers the choice of having their purchases mailed to them on compact disks. We are negotiating with a vendor to possibly include a printed users manual as an additional option as well. More information will follow in the next Realm Crafter Newsletter.

New GUI and Shader Effects eye candy added | ||||
| We have made some exciting progress since out last update. The Game Editor now features docking menus similar to those used by Microsoft Visual Studio and Nvidia FX Composer; making zone creation easier and faster. You can also increase the onscreen working space so that you can see more of the game world while you are working on it. Support for custom shaders has now been added; you can import them in the form of a Microsoft DirectX Effect (.fx) file. Shaders are not directly applied to a mesh; instead, we offer a profile based system which allows you to choose High/Medium/Low details alongside Near/Far details. Players of your game have an additional shader detail option which will automatically apply mesh shaders based upon settings you use in GE. Near and Far shaders allow you to apply high detail effects to meshes when seen up close which then fall back to a lower detail effect for meshes in the distance. Dynamic Lights have been added to the editor, allowing you to extend your level lighting even further. The example image below also includes the new parallax mapping shader.. |
